Ok ive been playing since open beta and gained a few 100k+ mech exp in the mechs I love to play in.Since once you get the master slot in a mech the mech exp you earn each match just sits there and does nothing apart from the chance to exchange it for gxp using in game mc credits.

Why not have a set of 5 personal quirks only for that mech using the mech exp you earn after a certain amount of exp is gained for example after 100k exp ,150k,250k,500k and 1million exp.So once you earn 100k and unlock a quirk you need to earn another 150k to earn the next quirk and so on.This will mean you will need to work at earning your exp and there is no easy option to get them.

These unlocks cannot be gained by any other means apart from mech exp which you need to unlock and can be only earned via playing games with the mech your using so you cannot use 1 mechs exp for another mechs quirk unlocks

The unlocked quirks don't need to be mega op just a 5-10% boost to stuff like range, rof, heat loss, speed, armour amount on certain parts and jj flight time or something else etc

This will give you the encouragement to keep playing mechs you like and get something more out of it other than just a master slot and moving on to another mech to play in

What do you guys think ?

so people could have additional quirks on mechs on top of allready existing quirks? don't you think that will affect the balance even further?

Well I don't believe the balance would be effected as how long would it take a pilot to achieve all those quirks and for only 1 mech at a time. The quirks don't need to be mega like I said and it doesn't mean those quirks add to the ones of the mech it already has...so if a mech already has a ROF quirk the pilot quirk could be added armour or more speed and you only get 1 quirk per exp level

well - if they have no effect then why bother at all? Also, even a small bonus could have a huge impact depending on the mech ...

apart from that - many players do have really large amounts of mech xp - I do have several mechs over 500K and even over 1M and I'm not even one of those guys who have startet playing right from the start of the game. Espeacially highly competive players who use only very few different (usually the most effective mechs) can get high numbers of mech xp very quick.

Don't take this wrong - I do think it would be a good idea to give players with high mech xp some kind of reward - but I don't think that its a good idea to make the mech even more powerfull. keep in mind: to get high numbers of mech xp people have to use a certain mech again and again and they naturally optimise the mech and their tactics to it, so you can expect them to be much more effective with a certain mech than a rookie (on that mech) anyway.
