Tearing round the gorgeous new mining collective map, I can't help but think it would add to the game if there was the possibility of more interaction with the environment.

For example, an automated loading area in Crimson/River City/Mining Collective, where large containers are continuously moved into ships/storage areas.
-This could be used to crush a pursuing mech if you're severely damaged and out of weapons or just used to "fence" around.

Terra Therma/Caustic could have random eruptions that would variously affect heatscale around that area, or steam eruptions obscuring view.

Alpine could have indigenous armies of tribal heavily armed cyborg polarbears that have a burning hatred of all light mechs that take down that legend that single-handedly destroyed an enemy lance to bring his team bank from the brink only to be picked off by that ****** Locust...

You get the idea.
Not possible for all maps, but some could give us an additional chance to take down that pursuing mech that thinks it has an easy kill.
