HA.
Haven't tried it yet ... I wasn't really having any issues with my 650ti, even over three monitors. I'm sure sli will cause MWO all sorts of grief.

Also, for comparison: 5820K @ 3.98GhZ, DDR4-2800, 2x GTX 660 Ti = 8830 in Firestrike. Methinks you might want to boost that CPU. You can very easily get a few hundred MhZ more out of it without much fuss.

Is that a firestrike or firestrike extreme score? best I'm seeing on 3dmark for sli'd 680s in extreme is high 5,000s.
and yeah, I monkied around with overclocking, with asus built in overclocking feature I was able to get around 4.2 ghz on the chip without breaking a sweat and barely budging the temperatures... haven't had a chance to bnechmark. The 980s also overclock extremely well... I've been able to boost the clock to 1500 without any problems ... again, haven't had a chance to benchmark just yet.
Checking 3dmark firestrike extreme scores, doing a search for similar setups, I'm right in the middle of the pack (#57) overall for benchmarks with people running 2x 980s and 5960 processors... so at least I know my baseline is valid... pretty much everyone running stock speeds are getting roughly my score.

Nice. I went with the 900d specifically becuase I'm going to build my own liquid cooling rig. ran through my budget FAR quicker than I thought .... I'll have to make due with an AIO for now :-) VERY nice rig.

I know-- (1) I have a third card on the way and (2) it's the only ribbon Asus provided with the mobo. I don't want to get an aftermarket sli connector until I see the spacing on three card--- for three-way sli on the asus delux board, the spacing isn't even.

BTW, I re-ran using firestrike (NOT firestrike EXTREME), and benchmarks came out as -- again, everything at stock clocks:
Overall Score: 20,619
Graphics: 27,068
Physics: 18,446
Combined: 7900
