Sensors

Similar to seismic sensor, operating exactly the same, but with longer ping times, detects 'mechs within a certain radius and with varying ping times. Cannot share data with teammates.

Basic Sensor 0.5 tons - 180-250m radius; 5 second ping update. All chassis can equip.

Improved Sensor 1.0 ton - 350-450m radius; 10-15 second ping update. All chassis can equip.

Advanced Sensor 1.5 tons - 550-700m radius; 15-25 second ping update. Only specific chassis can equip (similar to ECM rules).

BAP -1.5 tons

Allows indirect locks via sensors within 180m radius (lock through walls, probing mech cannot fire LRMS, but teammates further back can)

Under the effects of enemy ECM jamming, allows sensors to operate at their lowest level, 150-180m radius detection.

ECM - 1.5 tons

Disables all forms of sensor within it's 180m radius, but not BAP, reduces target decay time (like the advanced target decay module, stackable perhaps), but does not disable the ability to Lock Targets via direct line of sight.

edit. nullifies NARC?

ECM no longer invisibility cloak, no longer a LRM nullifier, yet still vital to conceal your forces movements across the battlefield, and protecting against Active Probes.

The numbers can be adjusted, and other quirks such as targeting data times etc can be worked in to find an even balance.

At the high end we have three 1.5 ton pieces of equipment which can act to improve friendly battlefield awareness or harm the enemies ability to gather intel.

Like if you agree with the general idea, discuss if you feel like nit picking :)
