This was asked on Twitter to a degree and pretty much dodged but it's a very important subject.

When CW launches will Clan Loyalists and Mercs have to change their factions to participate? OR will we continue to be able to run Merc and Daggerstars while working for the Factions?

This may not seem like something important at first look but if your not one of the represented Clans or are a Merc giving up your identity to participate is pretty rough.

We are Clan Nova Cat, we have decided that we will be aligned with either CGB or CSJ during season 1, what we will not do is switch our faction logos to either one of those losing our distinction.

I assume many if not all Merc units feel the same, working for House Steiner with Merc tags is a lot different than working for House Steiner and running Steiner tags.

edit: I just want to point out this isn't about being locked to a faction for a season and not being able to bounce around like many of the other topics about mercs, this is about Faction Identity while being locked to one of the big factions
