Your Crutch Mech

Mine would have to be my Phoenix Shadowhawk 2H SHD-2H(C)
A little bit of range with the LL, shreds lights at close range with the 3x MG and 3x SSRM2, good speed and mobility, jump jets, BAP, AMS, almost total heat efficiency, great chassis design with amazing survivability.
When it's all going wrong I take my baby out for a spin. What's yours?

It can carry teams very well, on a cool map. Hotter maps make it a fun challenge, but still very capable.
Sometimes though, you just need MOAR WUB.

Hunchback-4P | 5/6 Medlas 2/4 SL |STD 275
JM6-DD | 2 UAC-5/4MG/2 ML | Std 250
Seems like no matter when or where I use these, I always get good results, and at least 1 kill.

Though I also really love my K2, 2 Er large lasers, 2 large lasers, and 2 machine guns. Easy to use, rips up mechs, and runs pretty fast.

My Timberwolves are starting to end up as a 'crutch' 'Mech, though, since they can load so many different build types. Ballisitcs? Check. Long range LRMer? Check. Laser boat? Check. SRM brawler? Check. Been trying to avoid it though, because even though it's not 'OP' IMO, it does feel like it can do pretty much what most of my other 'Mechs can do and sometimes better.

In no way is it a "crutch". But, it is both what I am best with and my favorite. It can't seem to improve it or find anything better. It's like, a perfect happy medium for me. Just the right balance of speed, agility, armor, and firepower. It also, gives me the flexabilty to change tactics during a match.
It's optimum range is around what I would call a "mid-range" (around 400m-500m). But, it can work very well at close or long range. Almost, heat neutral with short range weapon group. Very long reach with the other.

If the Kit Fox is not doing it (say I'm lighting up targets and supporting but nobody wants to push or secure kills) then a swap to my Dire Wolf tends to work.
