According to smurfy http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/ the LRM20, LRM15, and LRM10 are all linked so firing three of any of these at once incurs the dreaded ghost heat, but in game I don't get any warning if I attach, for example 2 LRM15s and 2LRM10s to a stalker, but using 3 LRM15s does give me the warning about ghost heat.
So which is correct smurfy or PGIs MWO Interface 2.0.
P.S.
I'm betting on smurfy being right, but I thought I might get a more informed answer from the mob on this one.

Smurfy is correct. The UI warning indicators where added late, and they don't take into account linked weapon groups, only identical weapons. For example, equip 2 PPC's and an ERPPC, and note how there is no warning.
LRM10/15/20 do indeed all share Ghost Heat penalties.

And for added fun, ghost heat for grouped weapons is always applied at the largest / highest value - so a LRM20 + 3 10's - 4 20's worth of Ghost heat!

Yaaaaaay for convoluted mechanics which are difficult to understand and don't even address core balancing issues...

Is this still a thing or did it get fixed?

Correct. Ghost heat applies for any 3 "big" launchers fired together, not needing to be of the same size. LRM5s are the only ones not with this restriction (currently).
