so, had a friend over tonight was interested in the game
dropped together a few times before dinner, he was talking about downloading it and getting another friend on also maybe
after dinner, had him on the main system, managed to get the GF on the second system and I pressed the barely capable AM2/8800/1280x1024 setup into service and operated that, got another buddy on steam chat and we dropped as 4
dropped 6 or 7 times, we were having a blast but sucking pretty bad, steam buddy was ok, but I was distracted teaching 2 newbs and was only making about 200 damage/match, they were making double digits.
suddenly 2 out of 3 accounts here "you have been banned"
needless to say, the friend who was interested in getting involved, now not so much
I would just like to know what we did wrong.  Is putting a new player on an established account to let them try it out against the rules?  Is having more than one player in the same room against the rules?
seriously...WTF?  here I am actively turning people on to the game and what do I get?  Two mastered accounts banned...great PR guys...

Account sharing is generally against the rules, but if they took your gaming powers away, you likely did something much worse than multi-accounted.

did they make the accounts in your home with your isp? maybe that triggered smurf alert.

why not?all we did is play...ffs I was TRYING to turn new people on to the game

basically making multiple accounts is frowned upon. a secondary account is called a smurf, i think.

I dont see anything in their current user agreement about having or creating more than 1 account, so you guys probably did something else to get banned that you havent mentioned...

no, we did not, we played 6 or 7 matches, myself, the GF, one other guy local and one other guy online, that is all we did, what are you suggesting we might even have done?  I don't understand.

There are several people that play this game that openly say they have multiple accounts to keep their clan mechs seperate from their Inner Sphere mechs because they have OCD.

So I dont see why multiple accounts is an issue.

I am wondering if it triggered something to the server.

Like different IP address/computer accessing different account, and the system thought the account might have been stolen, etc. Banning seem a little off the chart for automatic response though.

Making a thread about getting banned is a mistake.

This was probably a case, where the system thought you might be multi-accounting. While you may have as many accounts as you like, dropping with multiples of your accounts into the same match to get yourself a kind of respawn (or other reasons like this), is forbidden. That's what the system might have been thinking you were doing.

Please contact support@mwomercs.com with this issue and explain your situation.
