Kit fox is awesome. Its the only light mech I enjoy. It feels good, I don't feel underpowered. Its so good, I've managed to beat mechs 3 times my size alone. I've nicknamed my Prime variant with 2 ER large lasers and SRM 6+4s, The DeSummoner, because I've managed to solo a Summoner, on numerous occasions.

Yup its like a little stubby medium in terms of firepower if you use anything other than the ecm/ams arm.

Only thing it cant do that well is out turn a whale while taking its back off.

Only reason you're getting the drop on mechs is ecm, rest of the mech is just Kermit the frog, with half the armor or a raven.

Yeah, I have lot of fun in my Kit Fox too. Lights under 150kph can be viable, although the clan XL makes it a lot more survivable than a similar IS mech would be.

Actually you can cram plenty of firepower into the Kit Fox AND use the ECM which makes it 10x better both for you AND your entire team (guarantee you your win rate goes up if you mount ECM).

Personally I use a C-LPL, 2 C-ER ML and 2 MGs with ECM and I destroy stuff.

If people are actually aiming for your side torsos in a Kit Fox, you should consider yourself lucky.

I lose a ST in my Kit Fox pretty often! I think they're aiming for my right arm to strip my ECM, but I do find myself losing a side and surviving to escape.

Oh my god this build is so much fun. If you have a kit fox, TRY IT! it just ruins things. Lights, heavies, Runs as hot as the sun though, so Keep it on chain fire.

While I haven't piloted one in any serious sense, I really do hate to see them. They have so much firepower for their size. I've noticed quite a few of them lately and really try to avoid them on my whale, or take them out asap. They do seem a bit more squishy than the IS lights tho.

I dunno honestly the only thing that makes it alright is the ECM, without that its crap. Way Too Slow. Once you are in a basic Kit Fox and realize you cant outrun an elite skill Timberwolf that's more than twice your tonnage its awful.

Cept when you elite and out run the TW. I've seen summoners go into the game with just some SRMs and 2 ppcs. This thing runs a bit faster, and runs the same amount of weapons. Twin ppc from a light hurts a lot. The Kit Fox is pretty mean when you play it right. Poke and run, or hug a whale to protect him from missiles, hunt whales who get left behind.
