good thing the Arrow rocks too, though, right?

Absolutely. Apart from the Ember, I don't think there is any Hero 'Mech in the game that earns its full price in MC so well. Not even the Firebrand or the Dragon Slayer are so vastly superior to their standard kin.

With the Dire wolves 7 kills a match and clans taking up the spot light, the Arrow still stands out as one of the top mechs out there. No kidding. I have seen a couple talented pilots use those to maximum effect. They had the Arrow loaded out with alot of speed and energy weapons. A very good mech.

6R eh? What do you pack in the ballistic slot?

I usually tote an AC10 or Gauss, but if I could fit a 20 in there....

Any Mad Dog (though I suppose the prime(I) variant counts as one already, I mean, fixed camo pattern unlike champions, the c-bill boost, if the shoe fits...), definitely a BJ-1DC or 1X. Might consider a CPLT-K2 as well.

yeah I know that feeling with the WVR-6R.

I HATE that mech, it's soooo ugly.
Yet mine is about as non-meta as it gets, an LB-10X, MPL and 3x SSRM2 w/BAP and the bloody thing is like 500 dmg and 3 kills almost every match. =/

I have an inexplicable attraction to things that are ugly but effective (I own 2 Subarus ;)), so the Wolvie just fits me.

figure I pick something not I the game yet.
THG-11ECX Thug Jose Piloted by mercenary Jose Magellan during the fall of the Star League, this Thug variant replaces the standard engine with an extralight model. The PPCs are replaced by ER Large Lasers. In the space freed by the XL Engine, Magellan installed three more SRM-6 launchers, for a total of five. The cockpit adds a Command Console to allow a Rim Worlds commander to see the entire battlefield. Four jump jets allow the Thug Jose to cover 120 meters at a time. Finally, a Null Signature System interfered with SLDF targeting systems.[20] BV (2.0) = 1,668[21] Posted Image

Either Raven 3L or Catapult K2.

It would definitely be the K2 if the ballistics were moved to the arms (and energy moved to the CT to give it a Cat C1 torso).

I have an odd attraction to that picture.

So there are people willing to cough up cash for Wolverine and Thunderbutt heroes.

I guess MWO diversity hasn't died off.

D-DC

/most obvious and unoriginal response

I haven't gotten to pilot it, but I imagine that the BJ-1X would be a great fit for me, so that too. Probably the HBK-4P as well.

VND-1AA Vindicator
I freaking love that little booger. Would much rather see the +30% bonus on that than my SIB (though I enjoy that one alright).

Pretty much this. While I've only recently gotten them, I've grown a liking to the Vindicators. I'm just salivating that a 1AA with a 30% C-Bill bonus would be like tied in with AMS taking down missiles giving you rewards. My 1R is strangely adept as spotting as well, so I wouldn't mind that either.

Any Catapult with missilies.... you know, a Hero filling its original role.

I have the Founders Catapult C1 with NOW a 30% C-Bill boost....still don't play it much :( . It is a hard mech to be effective with in the current (PUG) enviroment.

With a quirk that reduces the heat of PPCs (even ERPPCs) to a respectable level. Even if it made her a 2 A/C5 and 2 PPC walking meta machine, it still is fragile enough not to be OP.

Well, they could give it a negative quirk to ballistics, but that would make my dual A/C10 Cat K2 sad :( .

By their very nature of being only 20 tons, each and every Locust is a hero.
