Hello all,

I have troubles to run my Dragon (Fang) started with the arrival of the clans but especially since the latest ppc nerf.

was playing xl 320 +er ppc + ac 10 +srm6 + as many heatsinks as possible.

now playing XL 360 + GAUS + 3ML + SRM4 but having my troubles with the gaus. Not having good numbers.

Don't get me wrong ( regarding good numbers) I am not expecting to own the field and I now that I am more of a supporter but having below 300dmg more and more often doesn't make me happy.

So I was wondering what do the other Dragons play after the ppc speed nerf.
As I play Fang Fang compatible builds would be most welcome.

Despite Builds tactical advise is always welcome.

Never, ever stop. Peeking around corners is not something for the Dragon -- pretty much any heavy can out-trade you. Keep moving, use the (better be unlocked!) arms for constant snapshots on unsuspecting enemies, twist like a madman, never tank first. 2xAC5+ERPPC, Gauss+ERPPC+2xML should work OK. Your original build is pretty good, too.

Switch the gauss for AC10 or LBX10 plus 3 tons of ammo,and upgrade the SRM pack to 6.

My favorite Fang Build is an XL-320, 3 medium lasers, an AC/5, and a UAC/5. I haven't had need to change it in 10 months. I don't bother with PPCs on a dragon.

Never used PPCs on a Dragon actually...

My Dragon 1C uses its high mounted Left Torso hardpoints for 2x Large Laser peekaboo. It works fine. Most of the time they can't hit me but I can. The rest is 2xML, SRM6 + AC5.

The other build, that I have shelved since Clans arrived eagerly awaiting the time when the Timberwolf, the Stormcrow and the Direwolf are going to stop being p2w easymodes and get nerfed down to normal levels of power, to bring it out again. 4xMPL, SRM4 + UAC5.

Just two ac5 plus 3 med laser . This is rather low damage?

will give Cookimonter's advise a shot. Just bought the xl360 would be a shame if it was all wasted....

Well the DPS is good on those autocannons,escort your big guys to battle and focus fire their targets,and you will prosper,its not a face smasher,none of the Dragons are.Great for the arcane art of killsecuring™

Flame I went Large lasers, but that was along time ago.

Recently I have purchased the last two(5n and I dunno, 1c or somthing, doesnt matter) and I ran 2 PPC and ac10 before nerf to ppc.

now I run 2 PPC and AC10.

Wait what? LOL, the AC10 and PPC now are similar in projectile speed.

Trigger one: PPC 1 and 2 on chain fire
Trigger two: alpha strike
Three: AC10

XL300, DHS that fit Maybe Endo, dont recall. I had this on the 5n first, but fit it onto the 1(x or whatever) because I liked it so much while I master them both.

It will go onto Fang when I am mastered these last two dragons. I dont think anyone expects 30 pt PPFLD alpha out of a dragon. Plus it runs like 90kph or something, os it is easy to position around your team.

I call it METADRAGON, very tongue and cheek-y as all the tryhards will tell you dragons are pure garbage. I have always found them very solid performers if you cater to the role they are built for- speedy team fire support.

i have 3 of these bad boys now....

I'm mainly using 2 AC5s on 5c and 1N and AC20 on my flame.

Wondering if I should switch to AC10. 5s throw out ammo and 10 points of damage but they never seem to actually work well...Its like they don't register when firing fast. Example I was pumping rounds into an adder, full CT, maybe like 10 rounds + LL hits and it still doesn't die...Seems the same on other things too.

Guess I should try the AC10 + PPC. the 1N I have 2 AC5s + 2 LLs right now and the

5C I've got 2 AC5 + LPL. tempted to switch that out to 2 MLs because they are essencially the same as a single LPL (especially with the range module now) but I'm not sure what to do with the extra 5 tons and SRMs seem to go to waste on the dragon.

ok...have to say... going with the AC10 over 2xAC5 makes a world of difference. Been having a great time with the dragons since yesterday.

with 300xls on the 5c and 1m i was doing AC10 (3 or 4 tons ammo, can't remember) + 2 LLs + SRM6 (1 ton ammo).

double weekend is helping a lot also.. have all of them at or near complete in elite row.

I pretty much have the same build as Bacon and I must say it has served me quite well, managed to solo a Stalker on Frozen City, and corner a highlander followed by 2 Catapults on Canyon.
While the PPC speed issue did set me back a bit, I've adapted my Mechs, and make use of them to great effect still.

AC10 (2 tons ammo), PPCx2, Endo, Ferro, 300XL and 2 extra DHS in the engine for all my dragons.

The speed difference between AC10s and PPCs isn't that significant so it's practically a 30 damage pinpoint alpha. Arm mount lets you deal damage almost anywhere on your screen. I didn't buy the 1N but you can move 1 PPC to the shoulder I guess.
