I guess you could say i am not afraid to try weird things, but some ideas leave me saying "how many drinks did i have that night." That is all of my bad, strange, and wildly ineffective builds i can think of right now.

try the KDK-1 w/ 1x UAC20 2x SRM6 w/ Artemis and 6 small pulse or 4 medium pulse.

And your shadowcat build is well known in these parts as the "Sad Cat"

Hey! That is my Stalker! It is a good 'Mech, by the by. The damage is high, and I load several LRM20+Artemis, a small laser, and a tag there.

Quite a funny build, though I often find myself wondering that downgrading your engine so much for weaponry might just as well be achieved by just taking a heavier mech. For instance the Stormcrow with the A-variant energy arm can do those 3 CERPPCs with 5 DHS and has more speed and armor.

I guess the only thing this Jenner has going for it is super high hardpoints? I mean, even a Scrow can't hill hump like this one can. Other than that, lmao - firing once literally left this guy running for cover for half a minute. It's like loading an AC20 into a Locust with one shell loaded.

You guys remember the week of Steam release? When there were trial mechs everywhere, people setting full throttle into walls, and everything was painted green for a while. . . . At least in tier 5 anyway. The craziest builds I've ever seen were back then. But only one of them really stuck in my mind.

It was the ON1-VA. Standard 300 engine, one flamer, one medium laser, one LRM10, one SRM6, one SSRM2, and one machine gun. One machine gun with 6 tons of machine gun ammunition. Or it might have been more, I just know it was over 11,000 shots remaining when I was spectating. If I hadn't already been dead, I would have died right there just from looking at it.

I once saw a Thunderbolt-9S with a SINGLE medium laser in CW. He probably forgot that he stripped it some time before (at least that is what i hope) but it was still hilarious!

On open maps like HOTH (polar highlands) and such with sensor range mod, zoom and ERPPC range and cool down mod this thing hides anywhere and does good damage at 1000m. get behind the reds and be a regular pest. do not get caught. With an xl170 you don't have the speed out run any real light nor the fire power to brawl.

The reason people think that Panther is bad (personally I don't) is because it has too many jumpjets, not enough weapons, and uses an IS XL engine.
