I don't know why people like only rambo-mech, or think that only brawl mechs are good.

That's not surprising. People have been conditioned to play video game with them as the hero. Heroes get free passes with ammo and guns, and do things up close and personal.. that's what TV teaches us, right?

I have a choice of 70+ mechs, I always get people to laugh at me when I pull out my Hunchy for a serious battle, they stop laughing when I end up with 5 kills and 1k+ damage. Look... the Mad Dog plays the same as a Hunchy, stay mobile and PICK your battle, make them come to you. Every one of my Mad Dogs is a brawler and every singe one is doing well. Heat is not a problem if you understand you must get a rhythm, and a face splat SRM 6 X 6 with Art is more than eventful for your target. In one round on a solo drop (HPG Manifold) I killed from scratch 2 dire wolfs and a atlas d-dc then went on and killed a few others... they couldn't maneuver with me and I knew what I was going to do and did it. I owned the basement and left the match with 900+ damage and I was still over 75% intact.

This is not a LTP response. Just don't play this mech like its a Timber Wolf. Frankly slapping lrms on it and standing in the back is a waste of this platform but it would be better played than playing it as a tank.

I'm having no problems with brawling in my MDD. You just have to learn to approach the combat area from the right angle. Never be in the middle of the fight, taking aggro of the other teams heavy hitters. You come from the side of where your assaults ad heavies are tanking/giving out damage, and seek to do max damage in a very short frame of time. Then you slip away to.support another front.

So yeah, you pretty much play it like a heavier medium.

I just bought my first hunche last week. I can't believe it took me this long to find such an AMAZING mech! Totally agree.

Also yes, brawling is all about combat awareness and timing. Mess one of those up, and you're toast. Get both right? Killstreaks.
