After trying to reinstall the game, the patcher keeps bombing out. Looking in the error log I get this...

I've tried to reinstall the game 3 times now, and that's what I get each time.

This problem as well as the endlessly patching glitch is becoming increasingly prolific within the community. As of right now there is an obvious problem with either the patcher or the client or possibly both. PGI has acknowledged the problem and promise they are working on a fix. Sorry I can't offer you more help than that, but I feel your pain. I have had the endlessly patching glitch for close to two weeks now.

I have been having the same issue... I just cant get it to re-install...

I had the exact same issue. Are you using the patcher that you can download from this website? That's what I was doing wrong. That patcher is out of date. Use the one that you can find inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin32
You will probably have to run it multiple times to get it to root out everything wrong. I had to run it something like four times before it finally launched correctly.

Additionally, try deleting the planets.pak file that the patcher says it can't read before running the tool.

I just started getting this problem as well. As soon as I try to log in, the patcher comes up but it's mostly white and won't finish loading.

The islanders were so spot on in their assessment of this game it's not even funny.

After downloading the game, run the program from here:

I'm not sure if the launcher version works the same.

However, what you DO need to do is click on the options, and uncheck the option to delete unneeded files. (It erroneously deletes some that you do need.)
