PGI officially cancelled the crowdfunding of Trannyverse according to the website. RIP ill conceived Star Citizen clone, you won't be missed. Now the PGI staff can get back to blowing past release dates for CW.

It's not dead, it's just going to be consuming resources directly from those that would go into MWO, as PGI develops it behind the scenes, instead of being crowdfunded.

I hate to be negative but this is likely true.

Honestly I think they should just drop the project. They just got too much competition right now and both of the competitors are very far advanced with their projects. By the time PGI gets a viable project out, people will either be heavily invested in Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen or bored with the Space Sims and had moved on to something else.

This is not to say they shouldn't develop another game, rather they should perhaps do something different and unique.

Yawn. Thinly veiled shadenfreude thread that has little to nothing to do with MWO.

If it's not dead, it's faking well. Five people were laid off with Transverse's failure, or so Russ claims.

Yep.

Though honestly it probably didn't succeed just because it sounded kinda generic. If they had decided to tie it into MWO on the other hand. Then they could have gotten tons of support.

Transverse is Off-Topic. That's where I moved the original thread.

Please do not create the thread again.
