Cousin introduced me to MW2 back in the day, and I've been reading and playing all the games (MechCommander included) since.

My opinions on Blood names: None of us should use a Blood name until the community (or devs) come up with a way to earn it. A Blood name is one of the highest honors we can achieve, why is it that we just "inherit" it, just because it's a video game ? If we are able to have one, might as well have earned it.

Agreed, by all means define what blood house you belong to, but for Clan purposes the Devs should have contests for the actual bloodname, and also limit the number of each bloodname as per Clan practices.

I almost started playing MechWarrior with MW2 on the Playstation, but I bought a N64 instead.

Where I did start was with MechWarrior 3 on the MSN Gaming Zone. I first learned to play under the SteelW clan. After that I sharped my skills in Stock mech only(c0) games. I became one of the top 2 person teams on the Zone with stock mechs with my partner CIH_Frost. I then continued to learn to use only lasers and started playing in the Combat Zone Non Unlimited Ammo league. With the help of CM_Scorpion, I became pretty good at lasers only(c1).

After that I helped create the Combat Zone league's 3rd division: Stock Only matches. Before that we only had Unlimited Ammo and Non Unlimited Ammo leagues.

I played MechWarrior 4 some, but I enjoyed the faster combat of MechWarrior 3. When the expansion for MW4, Mercenaries, came out, I joined the NBT League with the Dark Sun Renegades. By then MechWarrior 3 was pretty dead online. And not long after that, Microsoft pulled the plug on our beloved MSN Gaming Zone. This put alot of pilots out of work, until MechWarrior Online.

I have a good number of old buddies from MechWarrior 3 on my friends list. I'm looking to add more.

Experience/History: Began my involvement with Battletech at the age of 5 years old in Mechwarrior 3, and was fascinated with the dialogue of the Smoke Jaguars which eventually lead me to become involved with the Clans 12 years later. In 2011, I briefly played in Mechwarrior Leagues as Galaxy Commander of Clan Coyote, and in NBT (Net-BattleTech) HardCore as Loremaster of Clan Wolf. Formed my current unit as of the summer of 2011 but was on setback due to education, and caught up to recruiting and organizing it as of earlier in 2012 which lead to the current Galaxy I have that is in the process of the making; a touman that essentially meets a Cluster worth of warriors so far.

Read a few of the books. Not bad at all. Favourite was a toss up between 'Wolves on the Border' and the 'Legend of the Jade Phoenix' trilogy.
