I wouldn't say "tiny" per se...but they should certainly lie between lights and heavies in terms of size.

Most mediums don't have the tonnage/hardpoint/hitbox blessing of the Doomcrow, Shaq Hawk, and Griffin.

It was also the very first medium in the game. Don't know how they managed to get it right first time out and then screw it up so badly for just about every medium to come to the game since. I really wanted to love the Vindy and it does look great (except for the slightly weird left arm) but its so HUGE it makes it so much more difficult to play than it should be. The damn thing is Jagermech sized.
And though I generally love Griffin, all the 55 tonners are assault mech sized.
I know PGI has whined that going back and fixing the scaling on already released mechs is too hard (though if they're serious about a quality game they should suck it up) but they really, really, REALLY need to make sure future releases are properly scaled. Just because you've made a mess of it in the past doesn't mean you have to keep making the same mistake over and over and over.
Well, unless my theory about the 3D modelling being done by a cheap contracted studio in Asia with no other involvement in the games development (and thus no contex) is actually true.

The nova also got the short end of the stick, and it's currently pretty much extinct.

I still see comp players running it in the occasional group queue match or on streams.
Mostly because as good as the SCR is, it doesn't have JJs.

Why are people keep saying that Centurion is too wide? It looks EPIC.
Compare it to the hunchback. Hunchie's thinner, shorter, and overall more 'medium' in size.
The poor centurion has become the posterboy for bad scaling in this game.

And I'm afraid it isn't going to change with PGI, ever.

Mediums having the profile of being tall and as wide some assaults, is why they're cannon fodder instead of workhorses.

LOL I thought the trenchbucket was the posterboy for that.
