I trust Alex to nail the concept art no matter what

We should be basing this on hardpoints and the lack of any melee system for MWO. A knight without a sword is is just a hot energy boat (the grasshopper is at least a jumpy hot energy boat)

I really like both designs. The first one's head is more unique, and so's it's legs. But it's upper torso is very reminiscent of a skinny BLR. The bottom one I like too but looks like the big brother of a Quickdraw, Spider and Griffin.

Regardless, still both are better than the BK.

Personal opinion: I don't dig JJ on larger mechs. So I went for the black knight. I don't think I would be disappointed with either one though.

First off all the mechs in the top picture are just bad! And that Black Knight is just, Bad. And I normally love David's art!

Maybe Alex could setup a demo of the BK artwork and grasshopper like he did with the king crab, that would be awesome to see how he would do it.

Besides, why would you want a pretty looking mech for? It could be downright ugly but packs an unexpected punch or it could be all pretty with rainbows and ponies and tickles you to death.....
