Our unit kept the same initials, but changed the meaning of each initial. Sent a ticket and it was changed within a couple of days.
I am not sure about changing the whole name. I would imagine that they could, so just send them a ticket. I can imagine if it gets changed every day then they might get a bit annoyed and just tell you to dissolve one unit and form another, however as a one off they are normally very helpful and accommodating.
