Most Disliked Map And Why?

The map design, the starting positions, and the place where all the fights happen, are all very poorly-done. The actual texturing on the ground is really bad in some places as well; it looks like an alpha-release map or something...always has.

My hatred of terra therma burns like a million suns.........but I also despise River City Night/Day.
So with the system as is I would say terra therma but that is mostly because of the stupidity of not knowing your map before you pick your mech. If that was ever fixed that I would get rid of River City Night (and if i had my way day as well).
Rest of the maps are great. Still have not really figured out the Bog yet but the work done on that map visually is amazing so its one of my favorites even though I routinely suck at it.

According to my map stats I should pick Frozen City (0.74) and Frozen City Night (0.83). Those two maps have my worst W/L ratios, followed closely by HPG (0.84) and then Alpine (0.91). Everything else is over 1.0.
The thing is... I like playing on Frozen City. I have no idea why it's my worst map. HPG on the other hand I don't really like, so that's the one I would choose despite it only being my 3rd worst W/L.
You know what's funny, though? Take a guess what my best maps are...

A disaster of a map with a single area of interest; also, way too much time spent struggling to climb mountains in larger mechs. Bad design overall thanks to a single useful point on the map - I9 hill. The radio tower hill seems some use, but that and the main hill are it.

The sad part is that Alpine would be easy to fix - just move the spawn points so that Mount Tryhard isn't between them.

The geometry issues in those maps are staggeringly bad, and it's extremely frustrating to have an enemy in plain sight but be unable to hit him due to 'invisible' wall idiocy.

Ironically (i guess) Terra Therma is my favorite map.

Terra therma isn't too bad as long as if you don't block the entrance to the center and manage your heat wisely.

if i had to pick a map that i utterly hate, it would be river city (especially the night version). i get an 0.84 w/l ratio there, so its not the worst in playability. its not the worst visibility map, you get used to green screen, and thermo if you are brawling. i also find i use thermal in some areas of the day version too, because of the fog on the dropship side of the city.
i generally hate the map because of its tendency to quickly turn into a camp'n'lerm game, or a stand around doing nothing game. i dont get why people fight over the citadel when there is plenty of other nice areas to brawl in. i think its mostly because of the camp tendency, everyone with short range weapons needs to use the citadel for cover while the players with decent range shoot back and fourth across the water, without leaving the safety of their base in assault mode. speaking of assault, the bases are too close to eachother. for a small map like that they need to be kitty corner.
honarable mention would be veridian bog. i can play it well (i know where most of the tripping hazzards are and can avoid them), but the thing i hate most is that it is probibly one of the most atheistically pleasing maps in the game (which is full of ugly maps), however you are forced to run it in thermal to be even remotely competitive. they tease you with color, just so you can switch to black and white mode.
tldr: bad maps are good, river city night sucks, veridian bog is annoying.

Can't decide between Terra Therma and Forest Colony. Both for being visually abusive and having poor gameplay.
