I feel bad for you guys who have unplayable frame rates on the mining collective (so far it's actually tactically interesting especially with jump jets).
But honestly, river city night is a giant cluster of horribleness. I can't see a thing no matter which type of view I choose (heat, night, normal). It used to be playable with gamma at 100% on my monitor and in game, but that no longer works. Hands down, this is the worst map in the game. It is too small, and generally tactically not diverse... but I can live with that on the daytime version where I can actually see.
Please add a moon or something to give the players the ability to see on this map or remove it from the rotation.

Frozen City because it kills my frame rate and is just too tiny.
River city, not because the map itself is bad - the buildings and map design...all that is good - but its way, waaaay too tiny.

I crash on this map the first time I play it EVERY time I open my client. I'd rather just skip it and not crash.

There are ALOT of bad maps.
Terra Therma (crossfire in the middle, and we'll make it really hot... that will teach you not to use a ballstics mech)
Alpine (all paths lead to fail if you start on the left or bottom right)
River City (we flanked each other, yay)
River City Night (the same bad map now in green mode)
Forest Colony (Water and Tunnel are fail, and he who controls the dish controls the spotting and spam)
Frozen Colony (Is there really a big enough difference on this map from the normal version to merit exisitence?)
Caustic (Did you bring enough ECM? No? FU and die, there is no LRM cover)
Moonbase (FU LRMs, you OP on caustic and need a map based nerf)
Crimson (Clearly you didn't hear us the 1st time on Moonbase when we said, FU LRMs)
Mining Collective- More like the crossfire collective... do you have a big fat mech with lots of firepower.... aim down a corridor. Do you have a mech with JJs? Try and snipe the big fat mechs from rooftop. No JJs or Firepower / Armor ratio? Well FU, play a clan mech next time.... Also just to remind you that it's nighttime we'll make the whole map look like it's in Night Vision except for the glaring white lights in your face.)
Sort of Decent
Frozen City- at least there is enough terrain to do some interesting things, and the cold makes it so you are not F'd running non-ballistic mechs. Everything can work on this map...
Torumaline Desert- If this map wasn't scorching hot and had a chunk of terrain on the main path for urban combat like conditions, it wouldn't be ungood.
