My only problem with infinite matches is the top guys are really making a rough weekend for those of us who were chosen for the pug life. It's been really hard getting decent 400+ damage games in, because I'm getting killed quickly. They're running really good builds, using artillery, and are top players to start. It's hard being a pug.

OP translation "Me and my synch drop team put together to exploit great scores for each of us only can be active for a few hours at a time before we have to split up and exploit something else. All of this collusion is wasted by other synch drop grinders with more time doing 200 matches and beating our scores."

I understand this wasn't a very serious tournament but we are getting some very serious try hards just endless grinding matches to get a slightly better score. They should of capped the number of matches you could do so its not just down to who has the most time to available on playing mwo to get a slightly better score.

I feel like 20-25 matches with your side winning would of been a good cap to improve your rankings in the tourney instead of just letting some people just endless grind to beat other players. Also this wouldn't apply to c-bill bonus that wouldn't have such a restriction.

Edited to be more specific on match restrictions.

Yeah that is one of the issues with the Tourney, those who play more are likely to have a better chance at winning.

My first 7 wins in my Stormcrow, I was easily averaging about 210 points per win. With that average I thought for sure I was going to place. Then I had internet issues and my ping went from around 50ms to 500ms and that was all she wrote for me. I think I finished with like 1700 points (though I think I might have a bit of time tonight to get 3 more 200+ point wins and cinch it).

If however I had been able to play more and managed to knock out just 3 more good matches, well I would be well above the 2000 mark.

I agree that there is too much grind and there should be less time to play. But restrictions by matches are big NO! This is not a stable game. 20 victorygames with desynced in 2 of them and 3 times disconnected - great tournament, come again!

They should split the weekend in half. Tourney for Friday-Saturday and an other one for Sunday-Monday.
