I despise Skirmish and absolutely loved being able to not play that mode.

Now 50% of my games are Skirmish.

50% of my time is now spent hating this game more than 50% more than I already do.

Thanks for this unwanted change. It was something I really wanted to see within the game.

I hate Conquest...refuse to play it or Assault. Want to play skirmish, selected skirmish, keep getting conquest.

Russ this is a bad change. Hating the game which already is a grind. Refuse to play it. ALT-F4 if this crap continues.

Neither I will. But hey, PGI has found a solution: closing the threads, because they advertise bad behaviour from the part of the players and encouraging others to report said players. Go away! Nothing to see here!

I recommend to stop paying if you are unhappy about a "feature" of the game but also recommend that you continue to play for two reasons:
1) the game has it's good points as well, it got you this far and
2) utilizing PGI's resources while not paying is a double hit to the pocket book.

Non-Participation Abuse
If a player has joined a match, they must have launched the game with intent to play. Players who are not moving, or are otherwise not participating in the spirit of the game, fall under this category. While we all understand the call of nature: Repeated abuse of this behaviour, similarly to 'Mech Suicide and Team Killing, results in an unfair advantage for the enemy teams, and is thus not considered acceptable use. Please keep in mind that idling on your cap point without armour or moving does not constitute a form of tactical "Base Defense".


and what should i do if i want to play, but not the mode choosed by matchmaker?

Interesting post. However, the "forced rules of participation" have one weakness... you cannot sign away legal rights regardless of what they say you must do. Example: I agree that if I disconnect you can kill me. I disconnect... you kill me. All according to user agreement. However, you are still liable for murder, no matter what I signed. Same holds here for a number of PGI actions. Almost every legal jurisdiction has laws regarding what is commonly referred to as "bait and switch", and PGI rides that line very delicately... sometimes falling off the wrong side.

PGI has splitted the community in two groups wirh this survey and if we don´t get the old matchmaker many people will disco or suizide in modes they don´t want to play, team balance is gone and noone will have fun with this game

WTF is this nonsense.... im getting conquest more then half of my matches! i hate conquest! ! ! ! i prefer assault which im getting about a fouth of the time if i cant get the match type i like im wasting my time then im going to exit and waste 11 other players time

They've made me login once more. Roll back this idiotic match prefefence change. I only play skirmish. Never want to play the other two types. Potentially, this change makes 66% of my gaming time unwanted.

I'm a paying customer, does PGI really not care about my opinion? That's sad, I was just getting back into this game too. Wish I could get a refund for my A la carte.

To me, it's crazy that we don't know game type or map we're going to play on before hand. I can stand not knowing the map, but not knowing the game type is nuts!

Oh well, time to uninstall. Nice bait and switch PGI, you suckered me out of my money.

The upcoming hotfix will roll back the soft voting feature.
