Back shots are still registering as front CT shots. I've died twice because of it. Not when I had a cored Ct on both sides but full back armor and front open red CT. poked in the back by a mls, dead. And we're talking situations where I was facing perpendicular with my back to incoming fire.

Like many mechs there is a small chance of a shot going very low at the very bottom where the CT meets RCT - or the pelvis join area. But it is very minor and no more than many mechs.

I agree with Russ. I tested the model fairly well and noticed no abnormalities besides the raised missile location, which may be by design.

From what i know that is completely normal. Mechs sometimes take front damage from shots to the back because of damage transfer or something

Makes sense. If I get kicked in the junk I feel it in my lower CT.

But this mech is a CT magnet even though it's fixed. Playable yes and less of a glass cannon then the Mad Dog but still a bit of a glass cannon. It is what it is.

Nah. At this point is is pretty good. It does take more CT damage than the Timby but I think this has to do more with the CT being a more obvious target thanks to the pointy snout which draws the eyes immediately, well that and the flashy cockpit. It is also probably a bit bigger surface area with the Crotch all being CT. However, I can live with this because honestly with it being able to mount ECM, there has to be some disadvantage.

Honestly the only think I don't agree with is the raised hump on the left shoulder being CT but as you say, it is what it is.

Which is a huge oversight. There is no reason that raised section on the left shoulder should be CT all the way around.

The hitboxes are good now, OP happened to me occasionally (0,0X%) in almost every chassi.

Thanks for the quick fix...

isn't that a good thing since most people have a lot less armor on the rear CT anyway?

Translation from Russ:

We fixed it as best we could, but it is still borked beyond recognition. Since we have no idea how to fix it, we will blame it on the other messed up boxes the other mechs have.

If the hitboxes are so borked, it should be fairly easy for someone to make a video recording with a friend in a private match and post it on YouTube. I'm sure PGI would give a little token of appreciation if you indeed found something significant.

Right now, these personal testimonies of "I got shot from this angle and there's no way it should have hit my CT" are pretty worthless, because the chances of human error are overwhelming. The majority of Hellbringer pilots seem to have no complaints after the fix.

Be more scientific about it. Give us hard data. Empirical evidence.

I ran into multiple matches last night where my CT took the brunt of the damage from rear shots as well. I agree with the op as it feels to me like the hitbox is still slightly off.

Any plans on doing an overall hitbox pass to fix this on all mechs?

Is it possible the RCT hit box does not go far enough on the top surface of the mech? I know vertical shots have a higher chance of hitting the FCT. It might be one of those instances where the guy tried to shoot you in the head and it hit FCT instead.

Had it happen to me last night post fix, got shot in the back and it counted as a frontal hit, same level. Can't say where specificaly I got shot in the back but they're still a zone that counts as front.

Are the hit boxes better thought ? Oh absolutely, night and day difference.
