First off, I'm one of the players that is ok with the new match maker (vote system).

I'll admit it does need some refining but I do believe its something that is a work in progress in the right direction.

However... Is this something that you plan on using in only CW to make CW fair to all and more competitive?

And for those other players that don't want this, can you please not do this for non CW games?

I have been defending the new vote system all day but I do agree that this system should be left out of non CW (casual) games. The few hours a day or week casual players really should be able to jump on and play what they want.

If you decide to use this vote style system as a CW system only for the more competitive player base that will be playing mostly CW once its in full swing, I don't think many would complain.

I for one don't want to have to worry that when I'm playing in CW, that others outside of my unit that I have to game with in a 12 man team may drop out because they don't want to play a game mode.... And ruin the game for us all.

Please reconsider only putting this vote style system in CW and leaving it out of the casual game play modes for the casual players?

and I get that. That's why I'm asking PGI to reconsider making this voting system a CW only system for the die hard players that don't mind playing any game mode or map. I agree that the casual, few hours a day players should be able to play what they want when they want. But I also don't feel the casual players that want everything their way should be able to get their way in CW style games.

Uh... I don't see where it's going to go into CW. CW will have a single game mode, at least for a start, and a map that I'd imagine will be based on the planet you're fighting on.

no, they already said that planets will still use multiple maps. And when we attack a planet, all these game modes, skirmish, conquest and so on can and will still be used. My unit may attract one planet and it be a skirmish mode for that match. But then have to turn around and defend that same planet and it be a conquest mode.

Given that CW is supposed to be a completely separate game mode (dropship respawn, gates to open, etc.), you're essentially saying that you've been defending a system that you don't really want to be in game? Nice going... ;)

I'm afraid Russ and Paul have said in their posts that CW will use an entirely separate mode. CW isn't 'hardcore public mode', it's an entirely separate affair.

um, I was under the assumption that drop ship mode is just a respawn mode that will be part of modes like conquest. Where just like current conqest and having to capture points, you will still do the same, you will just drop in by dropship and when you die, you'll respawn in with your second mech... Right?

yes I know that CW will have different game modes but the game modes we have now will still be used in CW as far as I have read.

My understanding is that that CW will be a completely separate game mode on a brand new map(s), where you have some sort of a gate to go through and you need to destroy some generators in order to open that gate. It's probably not cast in stone yet, besides I could be misinterpreting something.

See "planetary conquest game mode" part of this post and "respawns" part of this post.

DEAR PGI,

i'm one of the players that dislike the new matchmaking system. First of all, if i choose a game mode i should not forced to play a mode i dislike, on other hand i can't decide map but if i know the game mode then i can choose the right mech; for example in conquest mode i don't need to be locked on a very slow mech like a direwolf!!!
When playing as a solo player i need to chose my game mode in order to do my best, only on a 12vs12 i can admit a fair use of the matchmaking who decide on game mode.
Plz revert your matchmaking to the old style.

Greetings

Wolfstar
