Like the title says: What mech did you use for the tournament and how did you place?

I managed to get 134 in IS mediums playing almost exclusively Wolverines (mainly a 7k). I was only able to get 17 wins that qualified for the Cbill awards, but I'm pretty happy with it.

Overall the tourney was a bit of a mixed bag in my experience. I had a lot of really lousy teams, but I also had some fantastic ones and would like to thank everyone that played those matches with/against me. I especially want to call out Jeff VK, SGT Gout, Sandtiger and Heavy Hand for excellent sportsmanship in all the matches I was lucky enough to play with with you. :)

Here are a couple of my best matches of the Tourney

So, how did anyone else do?

Mad Dog. Mad Dog Prime mostly; got 21 wins and 70-something in Clan heavies. I've been leveling them - mastered the A and Prime over the weekend.

I used a Kit Fox Prime with ECM and twin CERPPCs. I collected the full 10,000,000 C-bills and placed #46 for Clan Light Mechs.

I wish we could get some in-game comms to help everyone coordinate. I feel like there were too many ROFLStomps because folks got greedy and tried to Rambo like crazy. Most the matches ended too quickly for me to accrue significant kills or damage. :(

Still...I'll take #46. That's pretty good for me since I don't play Clans much and hadn't even finished mastering that Mech prior to my start (It's mastered now though!). B)

you can tell people what they have to do. they will do EXACTLY what you told them but without the understanding required for it.
they dont even understand basic tactics.
no TS can solve that.

Ended up at #48 in Clan Mediums, going up as far as #20 in between but couldn't be arsed to put in more work after Sunday.

The games that counted for it were done almost 50/50 with a laser vomit Nova NVA-PRIME (6x c-ERML, 6x c-ERSL, 4x c-MG) and a streaker Stormcrow SCR-PRIME (5x c-SSRM6, 1x c-TAG, 1x c-AP). Even managed to get two four-digit games on the Stormcrow.

I was mostly interested in the 10M C-Bills since I knew I wouln't make it to the top 10 so I didn't really try for a good rank and played whatever I felt like. I am mostly a light mech jock so I did play enough in light mechs to get 10 good solid matches in my score, the results were decent but nothing outstanding 1726 points 260 rank, the other categories I tried also, but in some of them I didn't even get 10 matches, let alone 10 wins.

But even in lights I tried lots of mechs, for the most part:
SDR-5D 2xERLL
CMD-2D 2xSRM4+MLas
CMD-TDK 4xMLas
FS7-Ember 4xMLas+4xMGun
So a bit of everything, I even played and scored (I think) a match in a LCT 1E :P

33rd in IS lights with Ember and Jenner F. Hope they do this again, but with scores for kills and assists reversed, so that teams don't play like crap. Selfish play makes it hard to have good rounds, and the more selfishly people played, the worse the team did overall. Had too many matches to recall where we lost, and I had done 700-800 damage, next mech did 300 or less damage. But anyways, it was fun and different, so kudos to PGI for finding a way to change up the flavor for a bit.
