Patch has brought a heap of long requested new mastery bundles, but what are they like value for money wise?

I think they are a good deal, but that's just my two cents.

They should be good especially if you make use of the premium time. The one thing to consider is that how much time you save for the cost:

1) Get more c-bills with Hero mech.
2) Get more xp to fill out basics on champion mech.
3) Save c-bills from purchasing 2 variants to support the hero mech.
4) Save c-bills from engine/dhs upgrade on the champion.

Each pack is half price so you'd technically have to wait for all these things to go on 50% sale to get them for this value. Let's assume you aren't interested in the statue so that's about 375 MC that you really did not get any value out of. I think it's quite negligible.

Look at the Jenner Pack. It costs 4715 MC.
It comes with an Oxide (2625), F (champion - 1450), and D (1205) Jenners; 3 Mechbays (900), 30 days premium time (2500), and a cockpit Jenner statue (750).

Setting aside the F and D variants you can get with c-bills, it would be 6775 just for the MC only items,so yeah, it's actually a pretty good deal.

Other packs are similar, though the Victor pack has no statue. Be sure to check the contents.
Read the reviews on the different hero mechs and check them out on Smurfy's to avoid buying a hero bundle you don't like. Most of them are ok, some (like the Ilya or Ember) are very good.

If they'd had a Commando bundle I'd have thought hard about it. Probably would have held out for a Locust hero, or better yet, a Locust bundle though.
