I've seen quite a few post tonight where people have gotten matches contrary to their selection, e.g. I didn't check skirmish but most of my matches were skirmish.
I would laugh if PGI has flipped the logic for what is selected being your preferred game mode choice.
How have your drops fared compared to your game mode selection.

Well if you prefer playing Conquest you probably pilot a light or fast medium. Odds are you are going to get assigned to Skirmish because it will be light on lights and mediums.
If you want to play Skirmish you probably drive a slow assault or Heavy. There is a serious shortage of assault players wanting to play Conquest, so you will probably get conquest.
So yes, it is logical that most people with a strong preference will be forced to play the mode they hate most, most of the time...
