Why Not Have A 'drop Deck' To Solve Many Issues Brought Up Regarding The New Mm?

One common complaint we're seeing, is that people are currently in the wrong mechs for the gametype.
As anyone who's ever dropped in something like Alpine on Conquest in an assault mech can tell you, its a horrible chore.
Why not give people a 'deck' of mechs they have, that they can choose between, once they know what map and mode they are fighting on. That way people still have to play a wide variety of maps, but can at least pick a mech that suits that game/map.
This idea that we'll force people to play more balanced builds by having varied map/game types is never going to do anything except make people frustrated and angry. I think this would be a better compromise.

I would love to see that...
It would need to be limited to at least the same weight class due to the match maker, but even if it was limited to the same chassis that would be better then the blind drops we have now...

And for those who don't have more than 1 mech?

Last year they said after ui2 we would be allowed to bring 4 mechs . Just never happened like most things.

Love Alpine on Conquest in any class of mech. Just move out the the three points closely located in the center and let the brawl begin. I mean how could assaults NOT like Conquest on Alpine because it is the only time you don't have snail crawl up that damn mountain.

Go go real reason to max and KEEP 3 varients of a chassis.
you pick... hunchbacks, you get access to them all. So you can actually, I dont know, bring a usable version for game mode or map type.

The major challenge I see, is that with 3/3/3/3 in place you
Select mech
Queue up
MM uses your weight & weight class to balance as close to 3/3/3/3 as possible
Then you get an unfavorable map/mode and you want to switch from your slow assault to your light mech....
But the team has already been balanced according to 3/3/3/3, what if half of your team mates all switch to lights etc?
Sounds good in theory, seems very challenging to implement without some drastic changes.

Simple. The deck restricts you to one weight class. At least then you wouldn't end up being forced to play an extra slow, short ranged assault mech on Alpine.
