No, really, I'm not sure what happened last Patch, but suddenly my damage numbers with Machine Guns dropped to all new lows. I went from averaging 150-200 on a bad game in my 1V to averaging around 50-100 damage on a GOOD game. And it's not just ELO messing with me, or me playing badly; My Jenner D, which I normally get 300+ damage in is still preforming admirably. It may just be me yet, as I am a singular person and as such, only one point of Data, but what the heck is going on with these things? Is anyone else having these issues?

I dunno - I played my Ember a few games last night and it seemed normal to me.

I still see Arrows out here shredding people, so they seem fine.

The fact that my Damage dropped by 50% is not indicative of me using machine guns incorrectly. I am well aware they are crit-seekers for internals. /:

That said, they've always done their rated damage against armour, so a bank of four of them, while not great, should still output the normal damage numbers.

So, unless there's some stealth patch note I missed where Machine guns now do half damage VS armour or something, I think that this comment is pretty silly.

To OP. The hotfix has been announced right now, they say there were some bugs with EoR statistics. Maybe your damage numbers are normal, and it's just a bug that it is displayed wrong..

The man says he plays the MG lights all the time. I guess he knows how to and how not to use them, especially if he gets 300+ average.

EDIT.
Speaking of MachineGuns, recently I've seen MGs bugged on a Spider in my team. He couldn't stop them and they kept firing all the time, even when the ammo ran out (or maybe it started when the ammo ran out), and even when the Match ended the MGs still kept firing and firing. And it wasn't just a visual bug, I was badly open in many places and I winced every time this guy was moving near as my mech's components were blinking going darker.

Maybe something do to with the modules. Try with or without them.

MGs had their damage nerfed by 20% when they had an alleged "hit detection fix" added in. *Supposedly* the amount of new damage registering was able to counteract that damage nerf, but in actual practice it didn't. MGs have been noticeably weaker post-Clans than they were pre-Clans. Part of this may be due to the fact that reducing the base damage also indirectly reduces the critical hit damage they do to internal structure, given that the crit damage is multiplied from the base damage.

The issue is more recent than Clans. As in, this Patch is when suddenly I'm doing half Damage. Still, worth noting.
