Don't mind me brainstorming, but i would like to share a idea that just came to mind.
what if a new Type of Conquest would be possible to introduce ?

* is a marked line for idea's not introduced or not present in the current game.

Control the Planet Mode

Alpine Size or larger:

12vs12 Attack team vs Defend team

Objectives Defend team:
Defend your Sector of the planet (map) by holding within the 15 min time limit your spaceport
Defend bases to keep defenses active to protect the drop ship
Defend your Drop ship from being destroyed to win (Primary Objective)
Defeat the Attacking Clan / Innersphere Forces (Secondary Objective)

Objectives Attacking Team:
Assault and take over bases to gain ground and a easier time to attack the main objective.
Assault and destroy the Enemy Drop ship and take the space port (Primary Objective)
Assault and Destroy the Enemy Defenders (Secondary Objective)
______________________________________________________________________________________

The defense team

6 heavy Defended Bases are going to be under attack by the Enemy

Defense team has all 6 bases under control and the 3 lances are spawned at base 1, 2, 3. and need to hold them as long as possible against the attacking team or withdraw deeper into friendly controlled territory. the more they hold, the harder it is for the enemy to advance to win.

The Bases are:

1. Space port / Drop ship landing zone (Your 12 man Mech Drop ship)
2. Mech Factory
3. Fuel Deposit
4. Power Plant (Controls Laser defense turrets on all bases)
5. Command and operations base *(Controls possible AC-10 tanks)
6. Weapon / NPC Tank Factory (Controls LRM / SSRM-2 Turrets)

*(Side note for NPC tank factory: as long as the defend team holds it all bases will have NPC AC10 tanks patrolling for hostile contacts on the map / maybe also in Community warfare)

bases have a set of Turret defense installations:

4x duel Medium Laser turrets (randomly inside the base)
*3x Single Large Laser Turrets (None ER on a Tower platform on the corners of the base)
3x duel LRM-5 turrets (inside the rear of the base mainly, possible random map placement)
*4x SSRM-2 turrets (near the cap objective point)

*(Random number of AC10 NPC patrolling Tanks near or in between bases active and alert working for the Defense team)

*(possible ERPPC/Gauss defence turrets controlled by also the power plant / Weapon factory but seems atm overkill, however Battletech Lore possible for Community warfare)

Space Port defence installations:

*4x duel AMS Turrets
(Drop ship AMS Turrets are setup to prevent LRM rain to be easy Main objective kills guarding the landing pad but dont have any of the damage turrets to prevent to harsh damage on the attacking team on the final showdown)

All 12 spawn at the Space port and have to decide where to go on a massive large map, depending on where the attacking team decides to strike to get control of the Pace port.
Choose Wrong, no big problem right away (Turrets for sure, maybe future NPC Tanks) your base can hold its own for a little while but cant withstand a full 8 to 12 man Mech assault for long.

Attacking team Story

You as Clan / IS are here to take the Spaceport and destroy the enemy drop ship to win the game, Simple yes ? wrong.
you have to brake or pass a few highly defended Objective bases to even try and lay hands on the Spaceport as well as a Defending 12 man Mech Force.

Your all Starting roughly close together with all 3 lances and can decide on a few ways to win the game as described above.

1: Destroy all enemy Mechs
2: Destroy the enemy Drop ship and Cap the Space port.

However 5 other bases are located on the way that are heavily defended by static defenses, plus any player mech, lance, or company, lurks across the map trying to find you and defend any of the bases you have to pass.
Luckily the maps for this game type are large so often you are highly unlikely to run into the full 12 man unless they get lucky and find you attacking all in 1 spot and have chosen to guard 1 base with all 12. leaving everything els easy picking.

Now we all know ECM shields mechs from radar, the team can attack the Space port directly but at a terrible side effect, ones detected by a scout they know from where we are attacking. but turrets don't target/fire on ECM shielded mechs, until disabled by Tag or Narc or destroyed.
Even if the bases are spread out, some LRM / Large Laser turrets might start shooting at you while in the middle of 2 or 3 bases.

Another way is to attack and CAP the Enemy Power plant that powers all Energy weapons before moving on to the Space port. same for the Weapons Factory supplying the Missile based turrets.
*(base has to be one of the first to find site's for fair game play however need to be far apart from the other type making the Attacking team to choose what to disable first on what map)

*if NPC AC tanks might be introduced the Command and control base if capped should turn the tanks against the defending team (C&C controls the tanks IFF losing track on who's hostile and who's friendly. however if to complex, can be postponed or swapped out of the idea)

During those, the enemy team might simply move in for the attack to finish the attack team off, but since the map size is massive like alpine or even larger. the intercept time and distance to travel effects the strength and size of the enemy defense team to effectively counter any attack anywhere.

Attack team might do:

4/4/4 attack on 3 bases, or 12/0/0 on 1, or 4/0/8 on 2, or 2/2/8, on 3 bases.
Not knowing how large or how big we are attacking. it will keep defense guessing on how many and how big a defense force to send to any of the bases under attack.

But then defense could also just sit and wait at the Drop ship cause it turns to a 12 vs 12 then anyways right ?
yes, but if you lose your drop ship / the port is capped, you automatically lose even with people still alive. and a space port is open with very little cover to be found other then a small hand full of buildings. and only AMS turrets around vs LRM's raining on the dropship.

*(the space port capping spot should be in the open away from cover so 12 mechs there cant really hide trying to defend the port while the enemy can range destroy the drop ship from a moderate covered position, until they only just need to cap the port at last)

Generally seen its a simple assault the castle idea, and before this take control of the surrounding towns to cut down the strength of the final objective. mixing a form of the general current game modes together as well as something new, strategy complex thinking rather then a sometimes mindless easy kill everyone game just.

However since here bases are a bit over protected, capping the bases should be 50% faster achievable then in the current Conquest mode due to map size and large scale movement.
Positively this game play type might make use of Alpine peaks its massive size and use ALL grid locations rather then only the famous Mount Moron. and push it spread out across it all with battles happening possibly everywhere and more strategically.

Id like to hear about the possibility's of something like this from everyone as perhaps also PGI to add more dynamic gameplay into the Mechwarrior gameplay.
