Having seen that sometimes the difference between the number of players of each weight class is 7% Light / 8% Medium / 9% Heavy / 76% Assault. I have a simple idea of how to bring the numbers closer to the goal of 30% Light / 30% Medium / 30% Heavy / 40% Assault...

A C-Bill reward/penalty for each match that is based on the weight class played compared to the weight class needed. with 30-40% being the expected range.

Simply put, if you play an Assault at a time when the number of available Assaults is 75% you forfeit 35% of your C-Bill winnings (75-40=35). If you play a Light when the number of available Lights is 10% then you receive a 20% bonus to C-Bills earned (30-10=20).

Players can still play any 'Mech they want to, and for some the C-Bill reward is not important.
For others the difference in C-Bills earned will be enough to convince them to play a chassis of the needed weight class instead.

Since it is one player that is giving up C-Bills to another effectively, the average C-Bill reward per match should remain almost the same.
