What other games could MWO take factors from which would improve the game, do you think?

None, whatsoever. MWO is based around the board game, which means it will include elements from the board game, with the exception of moving freely on your own or deciding to listen to what teammates say.

Who cares. Most of them are a better and more complete game than MWO. (except maybe the new Heavy Gear witch will become MWO2 imo)

If PGI havent killed MWLL i would still play it because its better in every way.

From Mecha Games ? Not much.

From other Games ? A lot !
From Battlefield 2 & 2142:
Radial menus on the screen that allows the squadleader to set up orders without switching to the Battlegrid and to send voice commands (like "Follow Me" or "Regroup") to the other players (Com Roses).
Also the Squad based VOIP of BF2 & BF 2412.
And the use of big maps even for small scale battles by using only a part of the map.

From Counterstrike and CoD:
Gamemodes with clearly defined Attacker / Defender roles and time limits.

From ARMA:
The tools to create user generated contend like maps or missions.

From many MMOs:
Creation of guilds ( with own crests and color schemes ), faction warfare, better immersion by giving the player the feeling to be part of a faction that differs from the other factions...

A bit off topic from the original thread but;

I recently saw a game which is currently in the SC2 engine, but the maker is trying to make it a standalone game. He seems to be sincerely trying to make the game the best he can with using as many opinions from the fans which are given him as possible. He only has 29 days to reach his goal of 2k, so if you guys are interested in it, please take a look and try to support it.
