Why not have players get the ability to design a game to the way they want it?

For example. Let them determine the toal weight per team, the max weight per mech the min weight per mech, the game mode, the map or selection of maps, The mech selection allowed (or not allowed) A heat modifier per map (let people go wild and use a 0 modifier if they want)

In short, why make the game be controlled by the servers with a vote. Let people design their own rules and if other players want to play, then let them do it.

If someone wants a 5 vrs 8 clan only vrs IS only game, let them do it...

The current system makes no sense, it's like you're (the developers) trying to make the game fair, which is a noble goal, but people want to explore, the game could be more than it is with just a riles system for players to make a game, and let other players join it if they so choose, being able to check the rules set before they do.

Just let people have fun with the game, don't enforce your definition of fun because it doesn't help the game overall.

Why not let us change weapon variables in Private matches.

That would be worth paying for. We could even build it with proper TT stats. That would be a fun experiment.

Yeha, but not everyone has time for group games. I rarely get to play now because of work and some family issues I have to take care of for example.

Why not let us design a game when we can play, and if others want to join it and have fun, then let them?

Same reason they charge premium time for the private matches. Resource cost and availability.

Really nailed it on the head. Since there is no client side server pgi bears the cost if any custom match. Given the cost of premium time that means you pay pennies to do a custom game. Cheap really.
