Similar to Deathscream's post, just an alternate link.

The 1.5 RC 14 update works perfectly on Win7 64. I haven't had a problem playing singleplayer or multiplayer yet. It also features some nice updates, and the improved graphics patch. No soundtrack though, you'll have to pop in the original disc, or use an iso.

Battlezone1.net is the most hated Battlezone comunity thanks to his Admin and his members, and childish rage against everyone even BZ2 community(if he don't like you he will ban you from his forum and server)

only BZclub and Nate Mates forum(the link what i've posted) is where the main community posts

Played the hell out of the two Battlezone games. I still play BZ2 occasionally with my friend. BZ1 doesn't work on my Win7 64 bit computer though, so I have to play it on my WinXP laptop. ;)

Loved it and its better-looking-but-worse-storyline sequel.

I don't remember where I bought this, but I know that I got a fantastic deal at Media Play (does that store still exist?) when I got BZ2.

Basically, it was a 4-pack:

I got Quake II, Battlezone II, Dark Reign II, and Heavy Gear II all in one package for 5 dollars. It was probably the best 5 bucks I ever spent - Heavy Gear II is a fantastic mech game if you've never played it, but I still prefer Mechwarrior ;). Dark Reign II is an RTS that was way waywaywaywaywayway ahead of its time, sort of the "Total Annihilation" of its generation. Basically take everything TA had over Starcraft, multiply it ten-fold and release it in the year 2000 - full 3D, rotating camera, zoom in, zoom out, anything you want. Fantastic online play, map downloading without joining lobbies, etc...But whatever.

Battlezone and Battlezone 2 are the best blend of FPS/RTS I've ever played, maybe next to Savage 2, but either way, definitely unique and very fun games - remind me of a faster Mechwarrior on some levels. I also really loved the alternate history cold-war thing that the original had going on - really cool stuff, really futuristic designs with the hovercrafts and such. I loved the Razor and Grizzly...So so so much. SP STAB!

Actually we are talking about a different version of Battlezone. A ngame that came out for pc in 98. The one you mentioned I played in arcades in the 80s. This one is totally different. ;)

Ah, man, I love this game! Both of them, not the wireframe. Still have it installed, in fact. Anyone use the G66 mod? Or, for that matter, know where that mod went? The forums went down a while ago.

Starhawk is doing the same thing now. Too bad it's only for the PS3
