Preferably 150+ kph before speed tweak, like some Commando, Locust and Spider variants.

I know this may be related to the timeline, so the "when" is not rhetorical.

The Ice Ferret is a start, but eh... bigger than a Cicada, no flying, and pretty limited hard points.

As far as I'm concerned, the Kit Fox, Adder and Mist Lynx are not light mechs. Just small and lightly armored mediums.

The Viper would fit that bill. I would really love to get one of those in MWO :)

That's the thing, mechs like what you are asking for, didn't really run in front line galaxies, with the exception of super novas where they were used to get elementals to the front fast, see the Fire Moth, as an example.

Most clan mechs run about the same speed, as they are meant to move as a combined star containing a light, medium a pair of heavies and maybe an assault or a third heavy.

Too bad. :(

And that Fire Moth weighs the same as a Lolcust but has a slightly larger engine.

I think they said long ago that they tested to determine how fast we could go without totally breaking hit detection, because they want that to be our max speed with MASC active. So maybe they wouldn't downgrade the engine if they are sure it will never get to use MASC.

Firemoth is at the top of my list for this purpose at this point in time.

Not sure if there is enough variants at this point in the timeline but these were around.

http://www.sarna.net...%28Peregrine%29 (if PGI makes Clan battlemechs like IS battlemechs)
http://www.sarna.net...iper_(Dragonfly) 40ton but you didn't say lights only so maybe...

I await the arrival of our new Clan built Ember-ish overlords.

I wish they'd just release the Fire Moth, without the MASC, then try to implement it later on down the line. Same with the Shadow Cat.

MASC isn't why we love these mechs.

in CB pretty sure we were the test subjects for the speeds. ow the 200+ trollmandos. thats what the firemoth would be, pretty sure the netcode would go nuts again. back then unless u had streaks u were basically ****** to hit um, and they had 3 streak 2 to just keep dancing around ya.

I could be out to lunch, but to the best of my knowledge, the Fire Moth never carried jump jets.

I think the Viper is it.

Arctic cheetah, 30 tonner with the Magic Jesus Box.

Viper, a 40 ton Ember. 5 ERMLs, 4 MGs, 5k ammo, 8 hardwired JJs.

No JJs, 20 tons. While the Dakka would be fun, the flying Dragonfly would be so much more effective.

Until then, I'll just be running around you at 170kph in my Death Knell. :D

True, but the Piranha works like a Locust... it's also one of the few 151kph out of the box clan mech... and if you want some Wub out of it, look at the later models that run double heat sinks and all energy configs.

In 3067.

It is a battlemech though, so you might be able to customize it.

I'd like to see the Arctic Cheetah. The Prime (2x ERML, 2x LRM5), A config (SPL, 2x Streak 6) and C config (4x ERML, 2x MPL) could make some interesting builds.

I think Arctic Cheetah is about it. Most Clan mechs are designed to worth an an integrated team usually consisting of mixed weight class stars which is why speeds are generally the same across all mechs. I mean just like in MWO, it really is a bad idea to run off and leave your assault mechs behind.
