as in the case of the Nova-U-HD(3077) having a ECM Hard-point,
all the parts needed to create it are already in time line,

well allow a Nova to carry a Energy in each side torso(B-RT + A-LT),
or allow the Nova to carry 3 AMS systems(A-RT + S-CT + A-LT),
give the Nova some more Support System Utility,

Do you want in timeline, all of them (10 variants total) or just the insane, or unique ones?
Insane would be the Nova U, if you ignore the boatload of experimental tech and 3080 production year. Head mounted Jesus Box, 4 MGs. Per side torso. Right arm has 3 HMLs, and a welder (meant for space combat, to break into other ships)
Left arm has 3 Micro Pulse Lasers, and a sword. It also has two coolant pods.
In timeline, the A, C and D all offer something unique. A has a left torso that mounts both an AMS and a E hardpoint; for triple AMS, or dual (14 total) E torso mounts with the B.
C also has a unique LT, 1 M hardpoint, as well as a ballistic left arm.
D shares a ballistic right arm, and the left arm is a LRM20; another M hardpoint for a total of 2.
E and F are the same; 3E left arm, 1B right arm.
H is a HML boat, mounting 5 per arm. Nothing the Primes can't do.
So, some nice options, with only the U being out of timeline...but I really want my 6 ERML, 9 MG Nova with a Jesus Box...

Nova with triple AMS, LBX20 in each arm, 2 UAC5s in each side torso, and of course, an LRM20 in the left torso.
Timber Star with shoulder mounted triple PPCs, and a LBX10 in the CT (not sure how).

Most of those mechs will buff the existing list of clan mechs, and most likely invalidate existing mechs/omnipods when you look at what was released.

The torso points on the Grasshopper pic appears to be lower than the Cataphract. It has potential for mass disappointment.
That's one of the reasons I haven't been jumping up and down about it. One of the most distinguishing features of the Grasshopper was it's belly lasers.

That's what JJs are for. In addition to damage spreading, it also allows the pilot to pull off snapshots, without worry for too many retaliations.

I can assure you, with the NopeVa, you get plenty of retaliation.
Not sure what the torso exposure difference will be, likely a bit less, but it hurts plenty.

Not only the GHR is 20 tons heavier than the Nova, carries more armor and has a lot of space to toy around, the GHR can also handle ER/PPCs just fine, for sniping. In brawling, GHR is very promising from what I have seen about the hitboxes. Just like a slightly taller Shadowhawk.
Nova on the other hand, got the jutting CT, marked with a bullseye.

Exposure for jumping is what you indicated; Nova has that ability too.
It doesn't work very well with low mounted weaponry. 3D had 2 high mounted PPCs.

The Cataphract is just simply better for hillhumping and poptarting.
Speaking of which, it makes me want to take the Summoner (high ballistic slots).
