I recently downloaded a copy of MW3 to my computer. When I try to run the exe to install the files, it creates an .iso file and a .cue and then my computer crashes. I beat MW2 and all the expansions and I really want to play MW3. I'll admit I'm still learning about running old software and could really use the help of an experienced (and preferrably patient) user to help me out. I've read the old threads on running MW3 but still have no luck. Is there anyone out there who can help me?

You can mount iso and cue files with something like virtual clonedrive.

I got mechwarrior 3 to run on a win7 system, had to mess with scaling stuff in the nvidia controlpanel though, also had to run an fps limiter, because at high fps the physics engine goes crazy and everything starts bouncing 500m in he air.

That reminds me that if you are on a laptop with multiple graphics cards MW3 seems to only use the on-board. Don't know of any way to fix it and thats why I didn't think about an FPS limiter.

Okay, So I got mechwarrior 3 up and running,(HOORAY!!) and everything works fine except that there seems to be this global lag where all mechs and vehicals seem to slow their pace (although the speedometer says it stays at constant speed) and on the first mission the two trucks that flank you seem to randomly bounce up 300 ft into the air. It is tolerable, but nevertheless it's a little annoying. Is there a fix for either of these things?

That is why Flapdrol suggested/uses an FPS limiter.
