Apparently it takes more than a four-leaf clover and a day of premium time to convince 24 players to queue for skirmish.

If we got 10 points for every time we failed to find a match I'd have completed the challenge by now.

Edit: looks like queue has picked up again so I will cease qq

Funny I finished the Skirmish challenge in 3:30. The other two took much longer, but I had other obligations interrupting me.

They are fishing for frequency of the new reward types by game mode so that they can be given the correct reward balance. If you read the notes for why the formula for the challenges was changed Paul mentioned that the new reward types were enabled in the background for telemetry purposes.

This challenge was so easy only took about 8 games or so. Hell probably got 70ish points in just 1 game! (To be fair 28 or so spotting assists is crazy)

There is little incentive for people to drop in the specified mode for a full 24 hours. If it's a mode people don't like, they only need to drop a small umber of times, collect the reward, and move back to their preferred gamemode. It's probably not enough to keep the queue full all day.

Actually its the reverse, the matchmaker is hitting issues because too many people are selecting Skirmish and its buckling under uneven spread of 'Mech weights.

Never had any issues other than one failed to find match... but russ had tweeted that the data center was at max capacity
