Looks like they must be doing something right servers are full today :) Probably more people online than the 125 some one suggested the other day haha.

I was getting failure messages a couple times in my Hunchback. I had one or two times where I had a couple failures in a row. By and large, though, simply launching again got me into a match nice and fast.

I've noticed astounding numbers of unique players in the games I've pulled data from.

My guess is that people base the state of the game and it's population on the numbers that visit the forums. This is the first classic blunder (the second is never wage a land war in Asia), as most intelligent and well reasoning players will take one look at the badlands of these pages and will just keep on walkin', hopefully avoiding eye contact.

They didn't say cancelled if you read it ,just they will seek other ways of funding basically back burner for now but not cancelled

Thank you for clarifying that for others. Since the post was in reference to current game servers, I figured canceled would suffice since current development had been canceled until further notice.

Transverse is not an issue regarding servers. They basically axed the project and shelved what was left. They let go the guys they had working on it, took down the job postings left. It's as much in cryo as you could expect it to be.

On other news, it's a good problem to have when soo many people are playing your game that you have capacity issues. Good omen hopefully.

I wouldn't go that far with the OP's assessment.

At best, you could actually suggest that the servers were "downsized" due to "cost cutting". That's the only thing you can be assured of. While this could be considered a good sign (activity), but this is a holiday weekend with a challenge, so the numbers are influenced a bit.

Well This is the first time they have had a challenge that is for everyone. groups of any size and solo players. I think everyone is showing up for these challenges since they aren't being excluded this time.

Yes, I read that announcement page within the hour it was put up originally. That's the PR answer that does not negate what I said. I said it's in cryo for now. The real answer comes from the effects on PGI. Let go of approximately the 5 staff they had working on the project mentioned by Russ on the second town hall directly related to "transverse not taking off".

and "basically axed" is what he said, which can be very similar to "behind the curtains", especially when combined with the other information presented about Transverse that is not included on the page you linked.
