PGI has developed a XP system that rewards players for all aspects of teamwork.
Why do the Challenges have to focus on "Kills and Assists"?
Why not use the "Raw XP", No P-Time, Hero, Champ, Package Bonuses Apply.
If you want lower numbers divide the goal number by 10 or something.

At least that way players will get points for everything they do.

This one did have alternative points structures, but they were buggy due ot some added rewards that PGI has been laying ground work for. They decided that, rather than mess with said groundwork and maybe push those new rewards back by a patch or two, they'd instead rebalance the rewards. Wins and assists are still more valuable than kills for the challenge.

Well. They have been moving away from kills. And that is something I am glad for. And they are working on new rewards. So it should get better.
