Your mech is trashed.... percentage reads 16%... displays are flashing red... heatsinks destroyed... you have one functioning leg and your down to one medium laser.... but there is a big grin on your face because you somehow survived yet again and your team won! You took a ton of damage... you survived the early lrm pummeling... you survived turning that blind corner and coming face to face with two assaults... you feel like you have taken hits from nearly all of the enemy teams mechs... and you surived that annoying Spider circling around you for what seemed like forever. What mech(s) have you found that when you pilot them you just won't die. I am but a humble pug who enjoys playing this game through its ups and downs and out of my massive stable of 22 mechs two just seem to work for me better than the rest.

1. My red HUNCHBACK HBK-4P aka Ironman
2. My BATTLEMASTER BLR-1S aka Wolfman

Warhawks. All of them, for me. You wouldn't think so, but I've had so many matches end with my warhawk at less than 10%.

Never happens with my other assaults, Clan or IS, because they're either less resilient, larger threats, or slower. The Warhawk draws some fire, but is quick enough to fall back and all my Warhawk builds sport sufficient long range firepower to keep kicking even when badly damaged.

CTF-1X w/ std 260, 4 LL and all the double heatsinks (20). The high mounted torso LLs clear most obstructions when firing from cover and when fired in pairs instead of alpha'd, actually fairly heat efficient. Loose a torso? Still have 2 LL.

The Peacedove's surprisingly large torso twist radius also helps spread damage.

On my end, the mech of mine that seems to JUST NOT DIE would probably be the Doomcrow. My other 55 ton mediums can also tank a lot if I don't dun goof, but not as much as the 'Crow. My Peacedove also seems to tank well.

My Warhawk is a LRM boat so when I get fire directed at me I get primaried and destroyed lol

It does. Also, I suspect people assume its a direwolf initially (big block at range), and once they see its not, they wander off in search of other targets :)

Any Stalker. They are tank-y.

Also, my Locust 1V. I sat and ****** out a Jager pilot because I stood still for him and he didn't kill me with dual gauss. And then I chainsawed his legs off.

Shadow hawks and victors. Both run xls and just seem to spread damage nicely.

Also the summoner. Had a game where I survived with 9percent left. No armor except for my cockpit, one leg, all red internals. No weapons tho but ran as a blocker for my alive teammates

Blackjacks. All of them. Squishiest is probably the BJ-1DC.

Most of the time I've lost all my weapons before I go down. Even more often, I end the match being stripped of armor in most locations (usually with a right-side bias...guess which way I twist more, I guess). When I know I'm doomed, I'll just go blood-rage and charge the enemy. Surprisingly, I last more than 2 seconds doing this, getting another 10-15 to inflict pain on the enemy.

I'm also pretty good at keeping a crit Locust alive. I've had a few occasions where I've had a cherry leg and exposed center/sides, and been the last man standing. Pull off a win. Yay. Usually when I die in the Locust, it's because we've already lost and I'm getting focused, or I just had the misfortune of getting hit with a meta-blaster. C'est la vie d'un pilote du criquet.

Yeah, I gotta agree, the Warhawk, compared to the other mechs ive rolled, seems to take a really good pounding....barring AC80s, Quad Gauss and other cheese ball builds.

Maybe its the hitboxes on them being really nice or something, but hte side torsos always go out before the CT, I can usually survive a pretty hefty hammering, usually knocking out my st...

Ive come face to face wtih like 2 or 3 mechs shooting me and I end up lasting a good 10seconds before finally dying. Compare this to the 2s before the highlander is CT Critical and then dead.......IS Mechs like the Victor, Orion and Highlander seem to be made of cheese, despite having max armor...

Vindicators. Nine times out of ten I'm reduced to a one-legged hopping Medium Laser turret before I'm finally put down.

Centurion, Hunchback, Thunderbolt, Shadow Hawk (all with Std Engine ofc) - i had each of them down to a Leg, a CT, a Head and survived - the Thunderbolt can not fight anymore when its LT is gone but the other 3 still could do some little damage.

Though i prefer the CN9/HBK ML over the SHD SRM4 bcs one SRM4 has an unholy spread and stille needs ammo but once i somehow managed to leg a Mech with it :D

Subjective.

If I am in the supposedly unkillable mech, I die instantly.
If I am trying to kill it they will not die.

The Centurion. It is ton-for-ton the most uncannily damage-soaking 'mech. The shape of the thing is responsible for its resiliency, with his huge shield arms.

I play the 126 KPH CN9-D, and even with an XL engine, I can deal out 400+ damage by running around like a goofus and periodically barfing a heaping pile of SRMs and Medium Pulse. The huge engine makes the thing torso-twist like a spider, so those arms always soak up the damage.

I've had a lot of zombie endings in my Stalker over the years. Unfortunately it's a 3F, so it's not technically zombieing. But I've had more than one match lately where my hybrid LRMboat/missile boat is stumbling around racking up kills with its last two medium lasers at the very end. Sometimes I've even won with it.

My Cent-A is also pretty stubborn if I'm patient. I'm pretty sure those arm stumps contain miniature black holes sucking up everything that enters it.

Well, the sides on a Warhawk are pretty huge, which makes them a prime target. If you are decent at rolling damage, you can usually last quite a bit longer than usual. I personally do not really have any 'Mechs that last longer than any others.

I'm with FupDup on this one; my Stormcrows feel more durable than most of my heavy 'Mechs, most days. The things drop below 30% integrity regularly while still being fight-capable, and I've gotten my "Yep, Dead for Sure" achievement something like three times over in a Stormcrow. I've taken to equipping that brain-mounted C-ERML on every Stormcrow I can just because even with weapons in both arms and STs, I've found myself critted out of all my guns before I lost the 'Mech itself.

Such a wonderful little hellraiser, the Stormcrow is...

Strangely, my AWS-8Q. I usually lose both side torsos before I go down. That head small laser sure is...helpful <_<
