Yup. AMS makes the mech a ton more survivable. Had that in there prior to the LRM buff, and it's well worth it.

It's still good unless you can't get the face time with the target. I swapped mine to a dual gauss because my groups have been bad and don't give any cover fire when you pop out to look and I get half my torso ripped off before I can get 2 guns exposed to fire. If you have a good group that actually supports you and protects you then you can out shine a lot of assaults.
