I keep seeing all these suggestions, complaints, what have you, popping up on the forums and 90% have one thing in common......they are completely selfish and only suggested in order to enhance one their own style of play and it has gotten a bit ridiculous.

I mean you get the LRMs are OPed crowd who are all people who don't use LRMs and want their mechs to be impervious to a weapon they don't use or care about.

Then you have the LRM users all whining about how ECM and Radar Dep is OPed.

Then you have poptarters complaining that PPCs are too slow now.

Then non-poptarters claiming that Pin point damage is OPed.

an on an on an on....

Seriously guys how about posts that don't focus on your own selfish desires for once. Posts that look at the big picture rather than post that only improve your own personal space. I see so few of these it isn't even funny.

Mechs are OP. Bring us an Urbanmech to level the playing field. This isn't a selfish request...it's a community service.

Urbanmechs would lower the TTK pretty severely though.

Not ALL us LRM users Whine about ECM. I have pointed out that a Good PPC and other direct fire weapons are still good at killing ECM equipped Mechs.

But you point is sound, and I support your position!

The average Mechwarrior Online player does not want an even fight. He does not want to meet his enemy head-on and engage in epic mech combat. He does not want to flank with his unit and tear through an enemy line. He does not want a close match. He does not want an easy win nor a hard defeat. He does not want strategy. He does not want to think.

He wants kills.

The average Mechwarrior Online player wants to sit as far away from combat as possible and do as much damage as possible, with the possibility of overheating only a secondary concern. He will complain any time he feels his ability to get said kills is threatened. If you start thinking of the average mechwarrior as that guy in the back of the unit in Counterstrike that only ever used the AWP and pitched a fit every time a single stat was changed on the weapon "for balance", it starts making a bit more sense.

Ok.

Back while I was mastering all my clan mechs before I quit playing, ECM went on every single Kitfox. It's still way too powerful for the massive whole 1 ton + 1 crit it costs.

I would never drop in a Cute Fox or DDC that didn't have ECM. If I could, I'd put 2 ECMs on every one of my mechs. One for backup and it still wouldn't feel like a waste because it's that good.

Plz nerf the shiznit I use and abuse.

If I see an unbalanced mechanic, I call it. ECM is a big culprit.

The issue is the rampant amount of CoD kids running in this game.

They need to understand that some games to require actual skill to be good at.

Well this game is not one apparently, i just seen a Vid of supposedly 4 of the best players in the game playing, i witnessed no such skill, what i witnessed was 4 guys using the same OP mech abusing a broken game mechanic..
go figure.

Because people that make really good suggestions get flamed just like the rest. You make a good suggestion about how LRMs can be buffed to become a viable weapon while at the same time making them less rage inducing to face, and the only thing that will happen is the LRM crowd will tell you to L2P, while the anti-LRM crowd thinks you're crafting the future LRMpocalypse.

I find the entire meme about things being too nerfed or needing to be nerfed utterly pointless. I just tune those posts out. The only worthwhile use of this forum is asking advice for builds and tactics. I've gotten absolutely awesome help so many times I can't count. Nerf weenies are just a waste of bits and bytes. Ignore them. That's what I have to say anyway.
