I had saved up my premium time ever since the Phoenix mechs were released. I decided to activate it a few weeks ago and it was working fine until now. I haven't played since last weekend, so last night (Friday 10 October) I finally got time to play and saw the challenges. I jump in and start playing and after about 3 or 4 games I realized my premium XP and credits were not being added. When I got back to the Home screen in the client, I see that my premium time had been reduced by the exact same amount I received with my Phoenix bundle. I came out to the forums and did a quick search about premium time and lo and behold, my Phoenix badge on the forums is missing. I then searched for Phoenix issues and found where several others had revived an old post about Phoenix badges and added my own comment, but decided to start this new thread about premium time specifically to see if anyone else has same issue.

Of course, I hope my Phoenix forum badge is restored, but premium time is much more important and I would like it addressed first. I find it interesting that 2 issues (and I have very few issues with MWO) occur at the same time and they are both related to the Phoenix bundles. Please investigate and find/fix the problem so I can enjoy the game without being distracted by thoughts of missing Phoenix rewards. Anyone else with the same issue, please post so we can give more accounts to research with to determine the root cause.

Additional info:

In game it was showing me zeroes across the board for premium time. I made a purchase which added premium time to my account, but it automatically activated the new premium time. Obviously, I hadn't planned on activating the new premium time until the missing premium time issue was corrected, so now I have a 3rd issue for support.

My premium time started without me telling it to after I did the challenge last night. I didn't want it to start yet. Possibly related?

Premium time you get from pre-orders is "banked premium time". You can check how much of that you have left when you click on "Activate" in the lower left corner of the home-tab. You can activate all of it in-game or use the "Activate 30-days of premium time"-button on your forum profile-page (if you have at least 30 days left).

Premium time awarded for challenges or bought in the store is automatically started as soon as the purchase/challenge is completed. That is working as intended by PGI.

As for the OP's problem: you should try contacting support directly via e-mail. As I understand it they are still somewhat swamped from the reorganisation of things after PGI seperated from IGP but your chances of getting an answer and help are significantly higher.

I just finished assault challenge and it activated 24 hour premium time on its own. I don't want premium time activated now.

@Ironwithin, thanks - yeah, I also sent an email and added additional info I found to that ticket via the Support tab. My missing premium time is from two pre-orders. The main reason I posted here as well was to see if others had same issue with Premium Time, especially since I see several others who have Phoenix Project badges missing on the forums.

I did learn in the past that the rewarded time and compensation for server issues time start automatically on your first login after injection. I had assumed the time packaged into the bundles available in the In-Game Store would also bank, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Wish they had a warning when you view bundles that include Premium Time stating that the Premium time activates as soon as the transaction is completed.

Unfortunately, the pre-order premium time is handled separately from purchased premium time by itself. The view from PGI is that it is more of a "perk\favor" from pre-ordering and was originally implemented when Founders were going semi-ballistic that their premium time was going to automatically start at the "Exiting Beta" timeframe, without most of the promised content being in the game (or apparently even being started programming). To alleviate that outcry, they added the banked time and their headaches have only grown since then with repeated complains from customers on why the systems are handled differently.

My premium time seems fine but my founders badge is missing. My MC from that package is still there though
