I keep seeing the same posts week after week. Its starting to get old.

In no particular order heres the summary of the most "trending topics" over the past two months

1. Direwolf is under powered

2. Direwolf is over powered

3. Melee, if and when

4. Elo waaah....suggestions

5. Completely insane random idea (lets make new mechs (ala unseen/reseen and..gasp..beyond), and plasma swords)

6. Matchmaker problems

7. Hitreg problems making it impossible to kill things

8. Dying instantly to everything

9. Player council related stuff

10. CW drop decks (this seemed actually useful, the 1/1/1/1 changed to 240 tons, and now who knows what its going to be)

Runners up are...ECM, Lrmaggedon, screenshake, game used to look better, mechs are sized terribly, ghost heat, a litany of suggestions for reseen mechs, and at least 5 or more unique posts on Mining Collective being both the greatest and worst thing ever, and that it comes up to often.

If you strip away all the complaints that neutralize themselves (Dire is OP/UP, cant kill/everything kills me)

Youre left with this basic rundown of gripes/complaints/suggestions, since around beginning of Sept.

1. Player council - I think everyone wants a better update and its kind of disapointing that just fell apart as quickly as it came together...ball is really in PGIs court.

2. ELO ... no one understands it, those who do seem to hate it.

3. CW drop decks

4. Sizing issues with mechs.

5. Melee - Due to the buzz that they would sooner do melee than some other random thing (I cant remember the actual Dev Quote)

Did I miss any trending topic or is that pretty much what we've been talking about for two months?

A successful thread on this Forum generally needs some key ingredients...

A- A title that says you want to nerf something popular, that is generally seen as close to balanced.

B- The body of the thread should make terrible points as to why the popular item should be nerfed. Mostly make it seem like your fault while at the same time blaming said item

C- Doesn't hurt to throw in a random one-off video making it look like your correct (even when it might only occur every 1 in 10 times or less often).

D- Lastly, argue and insult the skill of anyone who disagrees. Things like..."your in too low of an ELO" or "Get on my level" is a nice route.

Sit back and watch your thread grow some 6+ pages.

At least, that seems to be a descent chunk of threads on here too.

FupDup ninja'd me :) But isn't it stupid to blame people for complaining at things that do not change for two years? MM issues, ECM, Mechs sizes, pinpoint damage and so on and so on. Not sure that players council will help to change situation, since PGI prefer to communicate only with comfy local dudes from NGNG and just ignore or even hysterically ban everyone disapproving their decisions.

So true...
Try n make a thread about something positive and beneficial to gameplay and it's possible methods of implementation.

What happens?

It drowns in whine minutes after some good input was had and before anyone gets a chance to see.

And you're left touting your thread in your sig :P

This man is right.

What's worse, it's usually the same few players, scratch that, posters, that fill those 6 pages.

Reasonable posts are usually ignored or just get 1 reply. Inflammatory posts generate pages of conversations to the point they should get a chat room.

:)
Edit : phone didn't quote right, fixed

My favorites are:

>I don't go to this forum, but I feel very strongly about you all being so critical of PGI's newest change!
>I just started playing. Here are my ideas for some great gameplay changes!
>PGI should negotiate for the reseen.
