Regardless, if you want to stick to six lasers, I highly recommend the HBK-4J. Not having a hunch is pretty incredible, and you get the same firepower, speed, and armor you have in the 4P.
Not sure I agree with this. The hunch is smaller, yes, but it's still there. But I think this is missing the point. The whole point in the HBK 4P as I see it, is that it has 6 medium lasers mounted high that all hit the same spot on the target for 30 damage. This means you can pop up on ridge lines, peak round buildings etc, without having to put your whole mech in the open. Spreading the 6 lasers across multiple locations means you have to exposure yourself too much. I run the 4P with all nine medium lasers and keep the head and arms lasers for backup or when you want a really punishing alpha - 45 points!
That's my 2 cents.

I would also recommend to pass on medium pulse laser and to limit the amount of medium laser. Not every hardpoint need to be used.
There are two builds in our unit thread:
HBK-4P (Koolaid)
Koolaid used seven medium laser and added nine double heat sinks. Heat Efficiency is 1.32.
HBK-4P (Catalina Steiner)
I only used six medium laser and added eight double heat sinks (I also use AMS). Heat Efficiency is 1.39.
Both builds are great because you need this heat efficiency (more than 1.3 if possible) to run an effective energy brawler. It's useless to carry dead weight of nine laser because your mech overheats all the time. Better use six laser and fire permanently. It's also hard enough to keep a six laser Hunchback cool.
And six medium pulse laser are complete suicide to me.

Medium Pulse Laser Hunchback, sounds interesting, also used a Hunchback equiped with med puls lasers. Unfortunately heat management too critical! So still use medium laser loadouts.

So I was trying this build this weekend. its pretty good at killstealing HBK-4P 36 alpha on whatever it hits from the hunch seems better than a ac20 despite the obvious heat penalty. However this will be the quirks for the 4P
Torso speed Yaw 37.5%
Torso pitch speed 10%
RT armor 18
RT structure 12
Medium laser cooldown 7.5%
Medium laser duration -7.5%
Energy cooldown 7.5%
Energy duration -7.5%
Energy heat generation -10%
Given the new quirks, who will be switching back to mediums.
