You only need Artemis on SRMs if you are planning on staying near the maximum range. Below half range, the difference is unnoticeable. The explosives profile was removed because it wreaked havoc on server performance. Also, it made SRMs overall worse; you couldn't control where the damage was going. The damage nerf was a balance nerf - obviously they were stronger then, but we have fixed HSR now so the extra damage isn't necessary
at all. In fact, they are doing about 100% more damage than previously, or even more. Just go dig up those old posts where people were saying that 1 SSRM2 = 2 SRM4.

All you're doing is complaining that the weapons aren't behaving in ridiculous ways any more. All of the changes that you've referenced had a positive effect on the game overall.
