Idea: Inner Sphere factions pay the current prices for there mechs, and clan tech stays the same.
Clans get an inversion of prices, with clan tech being about as much as the current IS mechs (lower), but IS prices are like the current clan prices (higher)

ex: right now prices would be IS prices;
IS light mechs right now range from 1,000,000 c-bills to less than 6,000,000 c-bills
while the Clan light mechs are around 5,800,000 c-bills to 7,000,000 c-bills

so my idea is that the Clan light mechs would be brought down to about 1,000,000-6,000,000 for Clan members and the IS light mechs would be around the 5,000,000-7,000,000
(course the light mechs they released would probably be over 2,000,000)

That's the general idea

Idea 1.5: For lonewolf/mercs I was thinking that they actually have somewhat random prices every week/month, like they set it up so specific mech prices go between minimum and maximum cost and just change every week/month; might be annoying for some people though....

ex: an Atlas A7-D might have c-bill prices go between 9,400,000 and 9,800,000.
9,410,000 one week/month and maybe 9,724,000 the next.

Idea 2: That particular mechs are cheaper for specific factions, based on that mech being either primarily made from that faction, or because its generally used by that faction.

ex: The Turkina (a Clan Jade Falcon mech, lets assume it has been released to boot), it would be say 20%-50% cheaper for Clan Jade Falcon members than other clans/IS factions

another example could be that Summoner's, Kit Foxes and Loki's are cheaper for Clan Jade Falcon than other clan mechs

Footnote: Course these idea's can't realistically be put together without some limiting of switching Factions... but I wanted to put this out there....

edit: added different poll for Faction Favorite Mechs idea
edit2: added examples hopefully to clarify

I have no idea what this poll is about, even after your explanation. I support reduced pricing for loyalist mechs, giving incentive to join and stay with one faction or the other, but I'm not entirely sure that's what you are asking.

That's what the OP is asking for, X.

Faction-specific 'Mechs are reduced in price, and other-Faction 'Mechs are regular price.

And yes, OP, this is exactly what the devs had planned for a later phase of CW (I don't know about MC prices, but C-Bill prices for sure).

Faction specific prices make no sense whatsoever when there is option to change faction. What would stop people from just flipping faction, buying those mechs at the cheapest rate, and then switching to another? PGI will not discount things that much also.

Faction specific prices have an answer already... if it doesn't get torpedoed by anti-causality QQ:

Phase 3 Logistics for CW.

Faction prices only matter if they increase the contract lengths by a good amount.

how about this then... mech price changes only affect permanent contracts? it would give permanent contracts something worth having rather than just a high loyalty bonus
