[The Robot With Human Hair]

Hey guys, I am new to the game (sorta) and i am very familiar with lore. I was hoping to get a group of players together to RP some games with. I was thinking along the lines of private matches, using Stock mechs to start, playing "missions" with pre- set up scenarios, ie merc corp sent on a raid mission, people using mechs appropriate to their faction/rank/unit etc.

this will take some time to set up, maybe make this a weekly sort of deal? could have more than one person writing ideas.

Could even track stats like a pen and paper RPG where you can upgrade your mech. and if you lose it, the damage you suffer will need to be repaired etc.

Is anyone even interested?

This sounds like a cool idea, id be interested. Just out of curiosity, will you be planning to record any of these matches in the future?

i have no plans to atm, i dont have a set up to record on. if someone else wanted to record and edit that could be interesting... i smell a youtube channel with weekly updates if someone wants to put the time and effort into it

It's hard enough to find serious roleplayers in actual online RPGs. Looking for serious roleplayers in MWO is definitely looking for the needle in a haystack.

To be honest... i haven't known many "serious" role players. Most of the guys and gals I gamed with had a good sense of humor!

And for me this is always the problem. There's a lot of quirky, fun, easy-going RP out there. But it's not easy to find serious roleplayers.

I'm a serious roleplayer, but then World of Darkness isn't exactly the kind of roleplay game you have a laugh with

I'd Beg to differ. I haven't known a RPG where I can't have a good laugh.

Okay, the stories I write aren't a laugh. There are occasional times where humour is appropriate but my World of Darkness is very dark

Still something like that would be awesome, a lot closer to what i am looking for honestly. some sort of backstory to what we are doing.

I'd totally be up for it but I'm not knowledgeable enough on the lore, yes. My friend dragged me into this game and into the universe just a few months ago, and I'm still in the constantly binge play/read up on the lore stage.

I like the sound of this. Stock 'mechs for the most part, weight limits, and different objectives!

I actually have a sketched out mission tree on my desk here that I was thinking of submitting as an idea for Community Warfare mission sets that could easily be used for this.

Interested yes but I unfortuantly wouldn't have teh time to commit to something like that. You would be better off trying to jut get an online TT RPG together.
